For a lot of people, music helps with the writing process. Share what music helps get your writing mojo flowing. I'm putting this in the Writers' Workshop, but fandom/character specific music can be added as well.
For me, a good go-to for writing music is pretty much anything by Soul Asylum. I also like to throw in some songs that make me think of the characters I'm working with. For Spuffy stuff, that includes the songs from Once More With Feeling. I also like these songs, since they make me think of Spike:
Bad Blood by Taylor Swift - works really well for Angel season 5. This is specifically the one just with Taylor Swift, and not the one with extra stuff sung over it by someone else Cheerleader by Omi - I know Buffy was a cheerleader before Sunnydale, but in this song, I always see Spike as the cheerleader in question) Fight Song by Rachel Platten - I see this as a good one for Spike adjusting to his soul Take Me to Church by Hozier - this one makes me think of Spru more than Spuffy, but I love it. It's so Spike

I have A BtVS fanvid playlist on youtube, packed full of inspiration. There's also my BtVS Tributes playlist for related fanvids. And a playlist of some of my favorite musical scores from the series. But my primary working music is on the Storyboard playlist. No fanvids (except for one or two cases where I couldn't get a non-fanvid copy of the version of the song I liked), but a wide variety of music for nearly any mood.
I've also found it helpful to develop "theme songs" for fics, songs that represent the story in my mind. They can help me refocus on a fic. The downside is that I eventually can't break the association, and think of the story every time I hear the song, even after the story is finished.
Theme Song Examples: Running Up That Hill (Placebo's cover): Echoes of Beljoxa Gypsy: The Ring Talks Take Me Home, 9 Crimes, Boston, White Wedding, Stop and Stare, others: Tales from Caritas East (that story has its own playlist) Hotel California, Fight Song, Flares: Pinch Sitters, for Spike, Buffy, and the Scooby Family, respectively One Headlight: Nowhere To Go
