This month, our short fic for SU Book Club is Aftermath by Ree. I love this story so much. I could easily see Lapis and Amethyst doing something like this together. They're very compatible characters, and there's a reason Lapis took on the role of Amethyst when they were the temporary Crystal Gems. This was a really fun story that brought a smile to my face. |

Not really sure what to say about it, other than I'm glad you liked it. <3 Feels kinda weird to write a story based on farting, but Amethyst totally would do that all day.

Funnily enough, I don't remember Lapis and Amethyst spending a lot of time together on the show, even if they gravitate towards the same people - they're both close to Steven and Peridot, and they both even have a complicated relationship with Jasper. It was hilarious having them interact here and share a connection based on their mutual love of fart noises. What a perfect way to bond.

Thank you guys for reading, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
They didn't spend a whole lot of time in Canon, and I have been shipshamed for that before, but I still think they're compatible if they ever have the opportunity to learn about each other.
