Hello, all. For the Holiday Event, we're going to have something that's basically a Secret Santa Challenge Response. I'll be creating a thread here in Community Notes where people can post a loose challenge idea, or just a list of things they'd like to see in a fanfic. If you would like to respond to one of the challenges/wish lists, PM myrabeth and let her know whose challenge/wish list you'd like to write a fic for. It will be first come, first served, with Myra editing posts to list them as taken without saying who has taken them. Once a post has been taken, those who would like to do a banner can PM Myra to get in touch with the fanfic writer to make a banner. If you want to do the banner for your own request, send the basic image to Myra. She'll get the author and title added and get it to the person writing the story.
Since we have two main fandoms here, each member can post up to two challenges/wish lists. Be sure, though, to make it two separate posts. Here's a link to the request thread: spuffygems.boards.net/thread/61/holiday-event-request-thread
Posting dates are from the 20th of December to the 30th, but only the first chapter needs to be ready within that window. When posting, label it as: Holiday Event Fic: [Title] for [Name of person who posted the challenge/wish list]
Other ways to participle will be to talk about your holiday traditions and/or most memorable holiday events. Any of the holidays are welcome to be spoken about. Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, Yule, Atheist Winter Block Party, etc.
